Terms of Use

The rules and responsibilities for using our payment technology.

Last updated: May 10, 2026

Permitted Use

License to operate your card machine and the receivables management panel.

Restrictions

Any unlawful, fraudulent or abusive use of the terminal or account is prohibited.

Legal Venue

Governed by Brazilian law (São Paulo/SP).

1. Acceptance of Terms

By onboarding your merchant account or using the Cash Store platform, you agree to comply with these Terms of Use. This is a legally binding agreement between you (or your company) and Cash Store.

2. License to Use

We grant a limited, non-exclusive and revocable license to use our management app and reconciliation panel. It is prohibited to: reverse engineer the terminal or software, sublicense access, or use them for unlawful purposes.

3. Responsibility for the Transaction and Disputes

You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of every transaction captured on your terminal, whether by card or via Pix. For card transactions, chargebacks and cardholder disputes follow the card scheme's and acquirer's rules, and the corresponding amount may be held or debited from your account until the review is concluded. For Pix transactions there is no chargeback: an ordinary refund that you initiate voluntarily to the payer is a simple Pix devolução. In cases of fraud or an operational failure at a participating institution, the refund may instead follow the Special Refund Mechanism (Mecanismo Especial de Devolução — MED), regulated by the Brazilian Central Bank, whose timeline and decision on whether a refund is due are handled by the payment institution involved, under rules and deadlines of its own, distinct from those that apply to cards.

4. Availability and Support

We aim for 99.9% uptime on the management panel. However, transaction capture may be temporarily unavailable due to scheduled maintenance, local connectivity issues, or causes beyond our control, such as unavailability of card scheme or acquirer systems.

5. Settlement, Advances and Terminal Bailment

Transaction amounts are settled to your registered account within the timeframes stated in your commercial proposal, and may be advanced by contracting our advance payment service. The payment terminal is provided under bailment (comodato): if your account is closed or in default, you must return it within 30 days, or be charged for the equipment's value.

6. Venue and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. To resolve any dispute, the parties elect the courts of São Paulo/SP.

Legal FAQ

Is there a minimum commitment to keep the terminal?

No, you can close your account at any time, subject to returning the terminal provided under bailment.

Is Cash Store responsible for improper chargebacks?

Dispute review follows the card scheme's and acquirer's rules; the merchant is responsible for providing sale documentation when requested.

Question about the terms?
